A final fix
I found a few unposted pictures on the camera (recovered from the trash, but more on that in a minute) while packing for Costa Rica. I figured I would give the fans one last fix for the next couple of weeks. So while you are biting your nails waiting for the big update of what VK was up to in Central America, spend a little time trying to figure out WTF a soft fuzzy orange poodle coat is.
Now . . . the mystery of the missing camera. For two days we agonized over the missing camera. It just vanished into thin air. Both of our last memories of the camera had something to do with VK walking around with it. . . not sure if it was the patio or the living room. We had recently decided that our beloved and trusty camera which had served us for many years, and to which you owe gratitude if you are a frequent "Fabulous World of VK" visitor, was on it's last legs and would be replaced after it's final hurrah in Costa Rica. It is a beach trip and the poor camera would suffer a final death by uncaring handling in the sand and salt air of the Central American coast.
BUT WAIT! Like an old dog doomed to visit the vet one last time our camera made a break for it. It was no where to be found and after many hard searches we finally resigned ourselves to an early replacement (probably a cheap temp camera) since we couldn't spend two weeks on the road without photodocumenting anything.
Andrea gets a wild idea this afternoon and decides that like a few other semi-important things before the camera, it might have ended up in the trash. So like the trooper Mom that she is she pulls every bag out of the trash and goes through it, coffee grounds, left over plates from the party this weekend and all.
Tada! Somewhere in the midst of coffee grounds and old spaghetti is our faithful friend. After a little clean up he is ready to go on his final mission.
Now that reminds me of the time Nancy Collins found a moldy sandwich in the laundry . . .
